Karkonoskie Tajemnice (Mysteries of Karkonosze) in Karpacz
Karkonoskie Tajemnice (Mysteries of Karkonosze) is an underground multimedia exhibition about the legends of the Karkonosze (Giant Mountains) and the Spirit of the Mountains, located at ul. Mickiewicza 1a in the centre of Karpacz. It is open daily 10:00–18:00, except 1 November.
What is Karkonoskie Tajemnice?
It is an underground exhibition where the legends of the Karkonosze are told through stage design, sound, light and multimedia. Visitors enter the world of the Spirit of the Mountains, the old mineral seekers known as the Walloons, and the local herbalists. Along the way you meet stories such as the mandrake root and the search for the philosopher’s stone.
Who is it for?
- Families with children — kids under 4 enter free, and children aged 4–18 get a reduced ticket.
- School and kindergarten groups — group packages are available, including workshops.
- Adults interested in local legends and regional history.
Is it a good idea on a rainy day?
Yes — the whole exhibition is indoors, in fact underground. On rainy days all indoor attractions in Karpacz get busier, so come early or buy your ticket online.
What else is nearby?
Next door, at ul. Mickiewicza 11 (entrance from Konstytucji 3 Maja street), you will find our Brick Museum and the Video Game Museum — two indoor attractions side by side.
