Brick Museum in Karpacz
The Brick Museum (Muzeum Klocków) in Karpacz is a private museum of interactive layouts built from LEGO bricks, open since 6 January 2015. It is open daily from 10:00 to 18:00, and the entrance is from ul. Konstytucji 3 Maja.
We are writing about it from up close, because it is our museum — Magda and I have run it since day one. Below you will find answers to the questions visitors ask us most often.
What awaits you at the Brick Museum?
Most layouts have buttons and joysticks underneath, so you are the ones who bring the exhibition to life. Press a button and the SpaceX rocket launches into space, trains start moving, LEGO Technic construction machines get to work and a team of firefighters puts out a fire.
- Layouts on three floors, including the world of Harry Potter with a large Hogwarts Express, Star Wars, an amusement park, a mountain village with a chairlift and Mars with a rover.
- “Find the figure” challenges — children look for hidden details and stay at the layouts longer.
- A building zone separated from one of the layouts only by a pane of glass, so children build right next to the exhibition.
Who is the Brick Museum for?
For whole families — from 0 to 100 years old. Every layout has a second layer: children enjoy the movement, lights and colours, while adults spot the details and hidden jokes. We designed and built everything ourselves, from the display cases to the control software.
How much time should you plan for a visit?
On average 40–60 minutes. In the same building, on the top floor, you will find the Video Game Museum (opens in a new tab) — both museums together take about 1.5 hours. The “Two Museums” ticket can be used on two different days.
What should you know before your visit?
- Individual visitors do not need to book — tickets are sold on site, by card or in cash.
- Children up to 90 cm tall enter free.
- Organised groups (16 people or more) book their visit by phone.
- Taking photos of the exhibition is allowed.
- The exhibition spans several levels and is not suitable for pushchairs — with the youngest children a baby carrier is more convenient.
- Next to the museum there is a shop with LEGO minifigures and bricks, which you can enter without a ticket. Online, visit projektklocki.pl (opens in a new tab).
