Lower Silesian Monuments Miniature Park in Kowary
Park Miniatur Zabytków Dolnego Śląska (Lower Silesian Monuments Miniature Park) displays models of the region’s palaces, churches and old town houses at 1:25 scale, at ul. Zamkowa 9 in Kowary. It is open all year, daily from 9:00 to 17:00, and a guided tour is included in the ticket price.
What is the Miniature Park in Kowary?
The park was founded in 2003 on the site of a former carpet factory in Kowary. It shows monuments of Lower Silesia — palaces, churches and old town houses — recreated at 1:25 scale, so a single walk takes you past buildings from all over the region.
What is the visit like?
A trained guide shows you around, telling the history of the monuments and the legends connected with them; this is included in the ticket. Staff speak Polish, English and German, and photography and filming are allowed.
What else is there?
- A café with desserts, ice cream and drinks, plus a bistro.
- A souvenir shop.
- Pałacowa Bawialnia — inflatable castles for children at the same address; in summer a park ticket gives you 10% off.
How far is it from Karpacz?
The park is in Kowary, about 9 km from the centre of Karpacz — roughly 15 minutes by car. The visit is outdoors, so bring an umbrella on a rainy day.
