Tajemniczy Las (Mysterious Forest) in Bukowiec
Tajemniczy Las (Mysterious Forest) is an interactive nature exhibition in the Bukowiec. Folwark i Park estate (formerly Ornamental Farm) at ul. Robotnicza 9 in Bukowiec, about 15 minutes by car from Karpacz. It is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00, and a standard ticket costs 18 PLN (September 2026).
What is inside Tajemniczy Las?
It is a hands-on exhibition about the plants and animals of the region. You can listen to and imitate the sounds of nature, watch wild animals in their natural surroundings, see a film in the forest cinema and jump into an interactive pond. Multimedia kiosks teach fun facts about the nature of the Jelenia Góra Valley.
Who is it for?
- Families with children — kids under 3 enter free, and a family ticket for 2 adults and 2 children costs 50 PLN.
- School and organised groups — groups of more than 10 people pay the reduced price.
- Anyone who wants to combine nature with regional history — a museum operates on the same estate, with a combined ticket for both.
Is it a good idea on a rainy day?
Yes — the exhibition is housed in a former brewery building, so the weather does not matter. In autumn and winter you can also get mulled wine or espresso coffee here.
What else is on site?
The Museum of the Valley of Palaces and Gardens operates in the Art Barn building on the same estate, and workshops are run for children.
