Which trails in Karpacz are closed in winter?

In winter, because of avalanche danger, Karkonosze National Park (KPN) closes, among others:

  • the red trail from the Nad Łomniczką mountain hut via Kocioł Łomniczki (the Łomniczka cirque) to the Dom Śląski mountain hut,
  • the yellow trail via Biały Jar to Strzecha Akademicka,
  • the blue Droga Jubileuszowa (Jubilee Road) below Mount Śnieżka,
  • the blue section along the floor of the Kocioł Małego Stawu cirque (there is a detour along the service road).

Closures are decided on an ongoing basis — check the KPN announcement before you set off.
