Dom Śląski mountain hut — food below Mount Śnieżka
Dom Śląski is a mountain hut on Równia pod Śnieżką, just below the summit of Mount Śnieżka (postal address ul. Na Śnieżkę 20, Karpacz), serving hearty mountain meals such as żurek soup, cutlets, pierogi and potato pancakes with goulash, plus homemade cakes. Its website gives no kitchen hours, so check before you set off.
What can you eat at Dom Śląski?
The hut serves home-style mountain food. Its website lists, among others:
- soups: żurek (sour rye soup) with egg, tomato soup, goulash soup and kwaśnica (sauerkraut soup),
- chicken or pork cutlet with potatoes and coleslaw,
- fried cheese with chips, and cod with potatoes,
- pierogi, potato pancakes with goulash, and crêpes with sweet cheese,
- homemade cakes and desserts.
Is there a terrace in summer?
Yes. In summer a large terrace with a bar and grill is open, offering grilled sausage with onion, baked potatoes, cheese with cranberries and cold beer.

Where is it and how do you get there?
The hut stands on Równia pod Śnieżką at the foot of the summit and can only be reached on foot. There is no Polish mountain hut on the summit of Mount Śnieżka itself. Routes from Karpacz are covered in our Mount Śnieżka guide.
