Helicopter flights over the Karkonosze — Wekter Helicopters, Sosnówka
Wekter Helicopters runs sightseeing helicopter flights over the Karkonosze (Giant Mountains) and the Sudetes from its heliport in Sosnówka, about 10 km from the centre of Karpacz. The shortest, 15-minute flight costs 1,000 PLN for the whole flight with up to 3 passengers (official price list, September 2026).
What is a sightseeing flight like?
You fly with a pilot from a heliport above the Sosnówka reservoir, with views of the main Karkonosze ridge. The price is per flight, not per person — one to three passengers can fly together. The operator lists Robinson R44 (pilot plus 3 passengers) and Robinson R66 (pilot plus 4 passengers) helicopters.
Which routes can you choose?
- 15 minutes (about 55 km) — Prince Henry’s Castle, St Anne’s Chapel and Karkonosze National Park.
- 20 minutes (about 55 km) — Chojnik Castle, Wysoki Kamień mountain hut and viewpoints.
- 30 minutes (about 110 km) — Wojanów Palace, Bolków Castle and Książ Castle.
- 40 minutes (about 150 km) — Szklarska Poręba, Szrenica, the Jizera Mountains peat bogs and Pilchowice Dam.
- 60 minutes (about 180 km) — the Karkonosze ridge with the observatory on Mount Śnieżka and Špindlerův Mlýn.
Routes are suggestions; the pilot may change them, for example because of the weather.
Who can fly?
- The total weight of passengers must not exceed 250 kg.
- Minors fly only with a guardian’s consent and in their presence, and sit in the back row.
- All passengers must be sober and fasten their own seat belts.
When do flights take place?
All year round, but outside the summer holidays mainly at weekends. Every flight depends on the weather, so the date is agreed when you book by phone or email.
