Karkonosze National Park “Domek Laboranta” Education Centre in Karpacz
The “Domek Laboranta” Education Centre is a Karkonosze National Park facility at ul. Leśna 9 in Karpacz (Wilcza Poręba), listed by the park as its information centre in Karpacz. In September and October it is open Monday to Friday, 9:00–16:00, and it is closed throughout November (as of September 2026).
What can you see?
According to the national park, the centre has a geology and geomorphology exhibition, a garden of Karkonosze herbs and shrubs, and the historic “Laboratory Assistant’s House” (Domek Laboranta) itself.
When is it open?
- January, February, June, July and August — Tuesday to Saturday, 9:00–16:00.
- March, April, May, September, October and December — Monday to Friday, 9:00–16:00.
- Closed: all of November, 24–26 December, 6 January, Easter, Corpus Christi and 15 August.
Groups and park tickets
The centre runs educational sessions for pre-booked groups (in Polish). Trail tickets are sold at the park ticket offices in Karpacz or online. General information about Karpacz is available at the town’s tourist information office.
