Do you have to pay to climb Mount Śnieżka?

Yes. On the Polish side you need an entry ticket to Karkonosze National Park: 11 PLN standard and 5.50 PLN reduced for one day (prices from 1 April 2025, still valid in 2026). Free entry applies to, among others, children up to 7 years old, residents of nearby municipalities (including Karpacz and Jelenia Góra) and holders of the Large Family Card (Polish programme). If you take the chairlift to Kopa, the national park fee is already included in the up or up-and-down lift ticket. You can buy a ticket at the ticket booths by the trails or online — details at kpn.gov.pl (opens in a new tab).
