Kopa chairlift in Karpacz
The “Zbyszek” chairlift to Kopa is the Karpacz Ski Arena lift that takes you from Upper Karpacz to Kopa (1,377 m) below Mount Śnieżka in about 8 minutes. In summer an adult ascent costs 85 PLN in high season and 75 PLN on low-season weekdays (as of September 2026).
What is the Kopa chairlift?
It is the year-round “Zbyszek” lift of Karpacz Ski Arena. It is 2,278 metres long and the ride takes about 8 minutes. The current lift opened in 2018, replacing the old one from 1959. It runs 4-seat chairs plus 2 gondolas for people with reduced mobility.
How long is the walk from Kopa to Mount Śnieżka?
From the top station it is about 2.3 km to the summit — roughly an hour according to popular guides, first on the black trail to Dom Śląski, then the red trail to the top. The ridge is exposed and often windy, so bring a warm layer even in summer. With a small child, a baby carrier is better than a pushchair.
Is the national park fee included?
Yes. According to the operator’s price list, Karpacz Ski Arena ticket holders do not need to buy a separate Karkonosze National Park entry ticket — this does not apply to descent-only tickets. If you continue further, for example to Mount Śnieżka and down another trail, keep your ticket and check the rules at the park ticket office by the lower station.
