Multimedia Museum of the Karkonosze in Karpacz
The Multimedia Museum of the Karkonosze (Multimedialne Muzeum Karkonoszy) is an indoor, interactive exhibition about the history of the Karkonosze (Giant Mountains) at ul. Karkonoska 5 in Karpacz — from the formation of the mountains through dinosaurs and the Ice Age to modern times. It is open daily 10:00–18:00, and a standard ticket costs 35 PLN (according to the official price list, September 2026).
What will you see?
The museum tells the story of the Karkonosze in a series of multimedia rooms: the formation of the mountains, the age of dinosaurs, the Ice Age and modern times. Its theme is the “Machine of All Time” (Machina Wszech Czasu), which, according to the museum’s description on the town website, takes visitors through 450 million years of regional history. A multimedia scale model is also part of the exhibition.
