Mały Staw and Samotnia — how to get there

You reach Samotnia on Mały Staw lake on foot along the blue trail from Wang Temple in Upper Karpacz via Polana — about 1.5–2 hours. To get to Wang Temple, follow the main road through Karpacz and continue uphill on ul. Karkonoska.

  1. Get to Wang Temple by car (via ul. Parkowa, ul. Konstytucji 3 Maja and ul. Karkonoska), by local bus or by taxi. There is also a direct train to Karpacz.
  2. Follow the blue trail through the forest to Polana (about 1 hour).
  3. Continue on the blue trail to Samotnia on Mały Staw (about 45 minutes). Return the same way or via Strzecha Akademicka.
