Ski, snowboard and crampon hire — Karpacz Ski Arena

The equipment hire of the Karpacz Ski and Snowboard School (Szkoła Narciarstwa i Snowboardu Karpacz) is in the Karpacz Ski Arena complex at ul. Turystyczna 6, Karpacz, and rents out skis, snowboards, crampons and microspikes, trekking poles, helmets and goggles. It is worth calling +48 601 790 618 or +48 601 790 570 first to check availability.

What can you hire?

  • Ski sets (skis, boots, poles) in several classes, from beginner to advanced.
  • Snowboard sets (board and boots).
  • Crampons and microspikes (e.g. Salewa and CT) and trekking poles — for winter hikes higher up in the Karkonosze.
  • Boots, helmets and goggles separately, plus jackets and trousers.

Prices for the 2025/26 season are on the hire price list (opens in a new tab) (in Polish).

Why crampons?

The hire shop points out that in winter icy sections of the trails — for example on Równia pod Śnieżką and the approach to Mount Śnieżka — can be impassable in hiking boots alone, even in good weather. Check the national park trail notice (opens in a new tab) before you go; mountain rescue (GOPR): 985 or +48 601 100 300.

Where is it?

In the Karpacz Ski Arena complex at ul. Turystyczna 6, the same complex as the Kopa chairlift, at the start of the black, yellow and green trails.
