Mount Śnieżka — how to get to the trailheads

The trails to Mount Śnieżka start in Upper Karpacz: at Wang Temple (at the top of ul. Karkonoska) and on ul. Olimpijska — at the Kopa chairlift and at Orlinek. From Jelenia Góra to Karpacz it is about 25–30 minutes by car.

By car

For Wang Temple, follow the main road through Karpacz (ul. Parkowa, ul. Konstytucji 3 Maja) and continue uphill on ul. Karkonoska. For the chairlift and Orlinek, enter “ul. Olimpijska, Karpacz” into your navigation.

Without a car

  • There is a direct train connection to Karpacz, and in season regional and tourist buses run as well.
  • To reach Upper Karpacz take a local bus or taxi — Bolt also operates in Karpacz.

Note: in 2026 the pedestrian street on ul. Konstytucji 3 Maja is being rebuilt (planned completion December 2026). It remains passable, but walking from the centre may be slower.

Prices, hours and rules may change — please check the official website before you go.
